Hyundai aspires to become an all-electric automaker by 2040, an ambitious strategy that involves developing dozens of new EVs. Here is the next one – the Ioniq 7, coming to join the smaller Ioniq 5 and 6 models.
The full-size crossover SUV first appeared on an early preview pic around a year ago, and now, a video has been released where it can be viewed in greater detail.
The profile of the Ioniq 7 is shown here against the background of its 5 and 6 siblings, which lets us estimate its size. So far, it looks like a full-size SUV with a generous amount of ground clearance, a short front overhang, and quasi-pixelated lighting. As for the cabin, nothing prevents Hyundai from putting three rows of seats there.
A stretched variant of the E-GMP platform will likely be used for production, granting occupants plenty of free space. Rumor has it that the powertrain will be rated at 313 PS (309 hp / 230 kW) and 483 km (300 miles) of range.
