The Hyundai Palisade is only available with a petrol engine in the USA, but other countries have a diesel option as well. YouTubers from PDriveTV decided to see how agile that one would be in a straight-line test.
The crossover SUV uses a 2.2-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine rated at 200 PS (197 hp / 147 kW) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission drives all four wheels. The car weighs in at 4,450 lbs (2,019 kilograms).
During the test run, the diesel-chugging Palisade managed to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9.53 seconds. While by no means fast, it is perhaps not bad for a comfortable eight-seater, either. I also finished a quarter-mile strip run in 16.91 seconds moving at 133 km/h (82.6 mph).
