Read on to find out what powertrain options the new Hyundai Santa Fe for the United States will ship with.
The base spec will offer a 2.5-liter Smartstream gas engine rated at 194 hp (144 kW) and 247 Nm (180 lb-ft) of torque, which links to an eight-speed A/T. The old 2.0-liter turbo-four unit will yield its place to a new 2.5-liter engine rated at 281 hp (210 kW) and 422 Nm (311 lb-ft), hooked onto an eight-speed DCT.
The range will also include a mild hybrid spec revolving around a turbo-four engine worth 180 hp (134 kW) assisted by a starter-generator, an electric motor and a battery. A six-speed automatic transmission will send the momentum to all four wheels. Later on, the Hyundai Santa Fe will debut as a full-fledged plug-in hybrid.
Among other things, customers in the USA will be able to opt for Calligraphy, the top trim with its own radiator grille design, 20-inch alloys, Nappa leather-wrapped interior, and a HUD.
