Fashion-conscious Infiniti QX65 bows in the USA

The Infiniti FX-inspired QX65 crossover is finally here. It boasts a coupe-like exterior, has QX60 underpinnings, and runs on a non-electrified petrol four-pot. Deliveries will start in June this year, with prices beginning at $54,000.

Compared to the model 60, the QX65 sports a distinct front bumper, stacked headlights, a different radiator grille and new wheels. Coming in at 5,042 mm (197 inches) long, 85.3 inches wide and 1,770 mm (69.1 inches) tall with 2.9 meters (113.3 inches) between the axles, it is nearly identical to the QX60 in terms of size. The truck reaches 1,917 liters (67.7 cubic feet) of volume with the seats folded down.

Trim-wise, the base QX65 ships with a three-zone climate control system, an infotainment system residing on two 12.3-inch displays, heated/power-adjustable seats and a panoramic roof. Paying a premium unlocks new exterior and interior trim options, surround-view cameras, an advanced audio system from Klipsch, massage-enabled front seats and heated rear seats.

The only engine available thus far is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mill rated at 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) and 389 Nm (287 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is nine-speed automatic. Infiniti promises a sportier driving experience thanks to assorted drivetrain tweaks and standard AWD, but doesn’t reveal any sprint times.
