Infiniti is getting a major revision of its product lineup ready, Automotive News is reporting based on the company’s recent meeting with dealership reps. Apparently, the executives expect the brand to present four new cars, including two EVs, before 2027, and double its sales by the beginning of the next decade.
In the summer of 2024, the company plans to release the new QX80 (the current version is shown in the gallery and video below). It will get new design cues and a roomier, tech-laden interior with two 12-inch displays and capacitive HVAC controls. The V8 under the hood will make room for a new V6 TT. As a consequence, the new QX80 will likely pack a sizable premium over the current generation.
A crossover SUV called QX65 is expected to arrive in mid-2025. Like its smaller counterpart, the QX55, it will sport a coupe-like body, but will retain the same engine options as the QX60.
Little is known about the electric cars to date. One of them is going to be a continuation of the Q70 lineup, a fastback to rival the Porsche Taycan and the Tesla Model S. It is supposed to debut in the second half of 2026. A compact EV SUV is expected to follow it in mid-2027, likely as the ideological successor to the QX50.
By the end of the decade, Infiniti hopes to be selling 100,000 vehicles per year. It managed to find buyers for slightly more than 46,500 last year, so it will have to find a way to more than double that volume.
