A crossover utility vehicle wearing a Jetta badge has been spotted on the roads of China. In that market, “Jetta” is a car brand co-owned between FAW Group and VAG.
Local reporters say the car was larger than the current-gen Jetta VS7 (see video). This means it is over 4.6 meters (180 inches) long and may end up called VS8. The camouflage is so impervious that we struggle to identify a Volkswagen car this one is based upon, so it might be a brand-new model.
When establishing the Jetta brand in China, FAW and Volkswagen promised to release at least three different cars under it in 2025. This likely means the full reveal is just a few weeks or months away.
