Kia announces EV1, its smallest and cheapest electric car

Kia’s most compact and affordable EV, the EV1, is slated to reach the market in 2026 attractively priced under €25,000.

The statement comes from the CEO of the Kia brand. According to him, the new vehicle will be based on the same E-GMP platform as the EV2 announced earlier this week. You will find the EV2 in the gallery and the video here, because no images of the EV1 have been released yet.

By the beginning of the next decade, the Korean car manufacturer expects to be selling 1,600,000 electric vehicles per year. That’s an ambitious goal, and covering the entry-level segment of the market should help the company reach it.
