Have a look at a Defender truck packing a pizza oven and a picnic set

Formula 1 driver Lando Norris has commissioned Retro Automotive UK for a bespoke Land Rover Defender 90 with a tuned engine, a manual transmission, a luxurious leather interior… and a pizza maker in the bed. Here’s the result.

The car lost its entire roof in the process and got no replacement, meaning it’s now solely drivable in fine weather. It was also resprayed in Nardo Grey Metallic with black accents, mimicking the colors of McLaren. A glance at the flared fenders reveals 18-inch black alloy wheels.

Blue natural leather and modern LED lighting made it into the cabin along with a Pioneer audio system. The latter features Apple CarPlay support and comes with a portable speaker for lively picnics out in the wild. Still more importantly, the truck was outfitted with a full picnic gear set and an Ooni pizza oven.

The tuners took care to keep the design laconic and true to the original otherwise. The 3.9-liter V8 under the hood received a boost, but the company didn’t reveal any figures.

Retro Automotive, which resides in Yorkshire, UK, only makes a dozen or so custom vehicles per year. This particular project took more than 1,000 work-hours to finish.
