SEMA-tuned Land Rover Defender can be yours for $0.2M

Osprey Custom Cars has built this Defender 90 convertible specifically for this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, reworking its entire interior and equipping it for some of the worst off-road conditions out there. The result is currently up for grabs for $199,950.

Like in most similar conversions, the Defender ditched its less-than-stellar stock engine in favor of the tuners’ favorite LS3 V8. Installed here in a naturally aspirated form, the 6.2-liter mill outputs 435 PS (429 hp / 320 kW) to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.

To justify its off-roader status, the Defender also gets a suspension lift, reinforced axles, a heavy-duty transfer case and special wheels wrapped in high-profile tires. It also has a roll cage in the back, just in case.

The interior comes trimmed with premium leather and seats six people, as long as four of them are fine with shaking along in paratrooper-style seats installed in the bed. While not very practical or comfortable, these can be folded down to maximize carrying capacity. The driver enjoys access to such modern niceties as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an eight-speaker audio system handles all music playback.

You may find the restomod on the tuner’s website listed as the Osprey 4x4 OC90.
