Large and well-equipped Zeekr 8X reveals cabin

The Zeekr 8X full-size crossover SUV will reach the showrooms in China in the second quarter of this year, so let’s take a look at these freshly revealed interior photos.

Overall, the layout reminds us of the brand’s flagship – the 9X – but with a slightly bigger emphasis on sportiness. Aside from a digital dash, the front panel houses a large infotainment touchscreen and another same-sized display for the front passenger. The transmission selector sits on the steering column, and the steering wheel is slightly squared at the top and bottom points. The tunnel accommodates a single wireless charger and some nice-looking physical buttons.

Customers are choosing between a standard five seater with a 2+3 seat formula and a six-seater featuring three rows with two seats in each. Massage, heating and ventilation are available for all seats on board, and the rear row can be specced with a dedicated ceiling-mounted TV. UK-based audio product brand Naim provides the speakers, some of them built into the headrests.

On the outside, the SUV spans 5.1 meters (199.2 inches) long, 1,998 mm (78 inches) wide and 1,780 mm (69.5 inches) tall with 3,069 mm (119.9 inches) between the axles. It relies on a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.0-liter four-pot and multiple e-motors. The full specs are pending, but we are told that the flagship version will be good for 1,400 PS (1,381 hp / 1,030 kW). According to preliminary data, there will also be two battery sizes promising up to 328 km (203 miles) of all-electric range per charge.

All prices are TBA. The local media speculate that the most basic Zeekr 8X will cost 430,000 Chinese Yuan ($62,220 USD), while the top trim will start from around 550,000 Yuan ($79,580).
