Car Tuning
About a month ago, a YouTuber named Supercar Ron felt he could use an acoustic upgrade on his $1,000,000 Lexus LFA. He removed the stock exhaust system and installed an unspecified aftermarket replacement only to shudder in disgust. He has since apologized before his fans and said he was sorry.
When outfitting his luxury ride with some BBS wheels, Ron spontaneously decided to straight-pipe it and see what ensues. “Louder” was arguably the only way to praise the new exhaust. It was also raspier and much more plain-sounding than the sophisticated system dialed in to perfection by Yamaha engineers. Before long, Ron dismantled the system and reverted it to OEM, calling it “the worst mistake” he had ever made.
“Turns out when Toyota spends millions of dollars tuning an exhaust to perfection with Yamaha engineers, [it’s] not good to get rid of the work that was done to make that happen,” he concluded.
