Lotus Emeya hits Europe with 918 PS, €107k starting price

Lotus has officially announced the pricing for its Emeya electric liftback in the EU and the UK. You can already order one choosing from the same three trims that are already available in China, but the prices are much higher this time around.

Specifically, the entry-level Emeya L spec starts from €106,400 in continental Europe (U.S. $116,367). The better-equipped Emeya S comes in at €126,950 ($138,952) before options and the range-crowning Emeya R costs from €150,990 ($165,145).

All cars are based on a dual-motor powertrain and have native all-wheel drive. The base powertrain churns out a solid 612 PS (603 hp / 450 kW) and 710 Nm (524 lb-ft) of torque. The Emeya R is the only version to benefit from a more powerful motor combo rated at 918 PS (905 hp / 675 kW) and 985 Nm (726 lb-ft) of torque.

The battery holds 102 kilowatt-hours of power and delivers 484–610 km (300–379 miles) of WLTP-rated range. Thanks to 350kW charger support, getting it from 10 to 80 percent full takes 18 minutes.

In its most affordable trim version, the European Lotus Emeya features Matrix headlights, 20-inch wheels, active air-ride suspension, active aero parts, ACC, surround-view cameras, and front/rear parking sensors. The driver and the front passenger get to enjoy power seats, a four-zone climate control system, an infotainment system with a 15.1-inch OLED display, a heads-up display, and a 15-speaker audio system summing up to 1380 watts of power. A wireless phone charger isn’t absent, either.

The top trim level introduces 21-inch wheels, performance brakes, a glass top and extra carbon-fiber trim bits all around. The R version additionally gets advanced stabilization, four-wheel steering, a two-range reduction gear for the rear wheels and a Track Mode complete with launch control. This version needs 2.78 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and hits its peak acceleration at 256 km/h (159 mph).

Customers in Europe can choose from six available exterior finishes, including the newly added Boreal Grey and Fireglow Orange. For the trim, the main choice is between natural leather and recycled synthetics.
