Car Tuning
Kourosh Mansory’s tuning company often gets criticized for aggressive and over-the-top builds, but his latest work makes us think the designer’s got an impressive creative range.
It’s a Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV not wrapped, but painted in homage to the famous board game Monopoly. Mansory is collaborating with pop artist Alec Monopoly for this project, and every example is hand-crafted. Every car gets a stylish livery, shortened rear doors, an extended carbon-fiber body kit and colorful accents inside the wheels. Our favorite part is the rear end with a spare wheel cover depicting Scrooge McDuck, Mr. Monopoly and Richie Rich next to each other.
The interior is awash in the tuner’s favorite shade of turquoise, while the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood enjoys a massive boost to 832 PS (820 hp / 610 kW) and 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft) of torque. The SUV needs as little as 3.9 seconds to go from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph).
Only 10 examples will be made, each customized to be fully unique. Buyers will be choosing from a variety of available interior colors, leather trims, stitching patterns and so on.
