BBR GTi updates its Mazda MX-5 boost kit

In 2018, Brodie Brittain Racing, also known as BBR GTi, released two performance upgrades for the Mazda MX-5. Earlier this year, though, the Japanese carmaker modified the 2.0-liter engine of the roadster to comply with the Euro-6d, meaning adjustments had to be made in the tuning kits as well. That’s exactly what BBR GTi did.

Like before, customers may choose between two different packages for their naturally aspirated, four-cylinder mill rated at 184 PS (135 kW). One of these is called Super 200 and pushes the performance to 202 PS (150 kW). The other goes by the name Super 220 and promises at least 221 PS (165 kW) at the crank. Granted, with that kind of power you won’t be winning many drag race tournaments, but it is still a valid option for all Mazda MX-5 owners who don’t want to go turbo.

Aside from the above, the tuner has sport catalysts and an exhaust system in stock for the model, the latter available with several tailpipe designs to choose among.
