McLaren teases its BC03 superhybrid

Work on McLaren’s latest hypercar, provisionally known only as the Project BC03, is in full swing. The production run will be limited to five units, and each will look like this.

Based on the images, one might think the car is based on the Senna chassis, but in fact, its body is entirely original, with a sophisticated aerodynamic kit that includes a giant fixed rear wing and a rear fin.

Early rumors suggest that the car will ship with a four-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine under the hood, assisted by an electric motor. The total output should exceed 1,000 horsepower (745 kilowatts). Aside from this, the McLaren BC03 is almost guaranteed to get e-AWD (electric four-wheel drive).

According to the Italian manufacturer, the vehicle will represent the final implementation of its Ultimate Vision Gran Turismo Concept featured in the video here.
