Meet the Erebos X, a $1.5M supercar concept with Mercedes-AMG design study looks

Florida-based company Parker Brothers Concepts is selling a coupe-shaped supercar called the Erebos X. The planned production run consists of 10 units, and the example with the chassis number 000 is already looking for a buyer. Its price is available upon request only, but the rest of the batch will come priced at $1,500,000 USD each.

The two-door supercar packs a V8 under the hood and resembles the Mercedes-AMG Vision Gran Turismo Concept introduced in that video game ten years ago. It had originally been conceived as a fully digital design study, but was later built in metal and even starred in movies.

Compared to that original concept, the Erebos X has similar body outlines, glass dome, gull-wing doors, sophisticated wheel arches and a special radiator grille. The interior also resembles the source of inspiration with its yoke-shaped steering wheel. The ‘Game On’ captions seen throughout the cabin also hint at the source of inspiration for the project.

However, the Erebos X is not a fully accurate replica of the AMG Vision Gran Turismo. Certain of its body kit parts, as well as the lighting all around and the wheels are different.

Parker Brothers Concepts does not reveal what production model the project car is based upon. It is official that the Erebos X weighs 1,233 kilos (2,718 pounds) and uses a turbocharged V8 to drive the rear wheels with 847 PS (835 hp / 623 kW). It accelerates 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in 2.9 seconds and ultimately reaches 325 km/h (202 mph).
