Renntech rolls out a 1,200-PS Mercedes-AMG GT 63

Tuning company Renntech has been tuning Mercedes-Benz cars for many years, and the AMG GT 63-based RIIIx is its latest creation.

In its factory guise, the liftback comes equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 rated at 681 PS (672 hp / 500 kW) in the North American spec. A high-performance fuel system, a larger turbo kit and a carbon-fiber intake make it a real beast, though, raising the output to 1,196 PS (1,180 hp / 880 kW). The above only applies when you pour in ON100 gas, though. With regular ON95, the power drops to “just” 965 PS (952 hp / 710 kW).

The dynamic performance is as follows: the RIIIx sprints 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in 2.44 seconds, proceeds to reach 160 km/h (100 mph) in 5.5 seconds and covers a quarter of a mile in under 10 seconds.

Renntech promises us a production batch, but the availability will be strictly limited.
