German tuner reverts the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S to eight cylinders

Vuk Manufactur has unveiled its complete EVOlution X project, taking a Mercedes-AMG C-Class hybrid and turning it into an enthusiast’s sports car with a V8 engine swap and other improvements.

The tuner starts with a stock C 63 S (W206) model and replaces its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot with a 4.0-liter AMG V8 TT. The output isn’t specified, but we’ve seen this engine tuned to 700 PS (689 hp / 588 kW) and beyond. The original had up to 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) from a hybrid system, so it appears to be more of a side-grade.

In addition to the swap, Vuk clads the car in a body kit inspired by the iconic Mercedes 190E Evo II. It includes generously flared fenders, six-spoke wheels designed specifically for the car and a completely new rear end with a massive rear wing. The turquoise accents seen in the gallery above are optional.

Only 63 such vehicles will be made, the company claims. All pricing is private.
