Mini has unveiled the all-electric Cooper SE Cabriolet running exclusively on electric power. A limited number of vehicles will go into production in late 2023 and reach a number of markets in Europe.
Only 999 units will be made in total. Originally, when Mini revealed its cabrio concept in July 2022, it had intended to leave it a one-off. However, after being showered with positive feedback from interested customers, the company changed its mind and decided to go for a small production run.
The car uses a single electric motor rated at 135 kilowatts (183 PS, or 180 hp) to drive the front wheels. It reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in hairdo-saving 7.3 seconds and lasts 201 km (125 miles) on a full charge.
Other notable features include 17-inch wheels, heated sport seats, a leather steering wheel and Piano Black accents along with rare yellow inserts.
