IIHS has awarded the facelifted 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander a Top Safety Pick + rating, which is as good as it gets when it comes to crash safety.
The expert team tested cars produced starting from June 2021 and found that they ensured excellent protection in head-on collisions for both the driver and the passengers.
The crossover SUV comes equipped with as many as 11 airbags and boasts a plethora of electronic assists. The list includes a Level 2 autopilot, lane control, lane departure warning, AEB, distance metering, active blind spot assist, and more.
In the meantime, Mitsubishi is getting a redesigned Outlander PHEV ready to rumble, a hybrid car which is said to be identical to its ICE counterpart in terms of safety.
