Porsche 911 Turbo gets some tuner love from Manhart

On the tuning scene, we’ve come to associate the name “Manhart” with custom BMW cars, but it seems like things have changed at last. The famous tuner now routinely takes on other brands, most recent examples being the Mercedes C63s Manhart CR700 and the Audi RS500. Today, the company has taken the wraps off a posh redesign of the Porsche 911 Turbo (991.2).

The supercar leaves the factory equipped with an engine rated at 540 hp (403 kW) and 710 Nm (524 lb×ft) of torque. Manhart has succeeded in boosting it to 680 hp (507 kW) and 880 Nm (650 lb×ft) of torque. This became possible owing to the installation of new turbochargers, an IPD-branded intake system, a sport-grade air filter and some software remapping.

The car now accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in trifling 2.9 seconds and gets to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.4s. To raise the stakes, Manhart has put a passenger on the front seat for the test.

Finally, to make the tuned-up Porsche 911 Turbo stand out in the crowd, the atelier gave it a set of black/golden Formula IV aluminum rims, sport springs for 30 mm less ground clearance and a unique black livery with a golden stripe running along the body.
