SVE unveils 2019 Yenko Camaro

Special Vehicle Engineering has announced its own variant of the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro. Customers will be able to choose between two drivetrain options, with the stronger of the two being capable of 1,000 hp (745 kW).

The base version, called Yenko/SC Stage 1, comes equipped with a 6.8-liter V8 engine rated at 835 hp (623 kW). Compare this to the original Camaro’s 455 hp (339 kW). It features forged-aluminum cylinders with perforated heads and a forged-steel crankshaft.

On the outside, the Yenko/SC Stage 1 gets a custom carbon hood and a set of dark-grey 20-inch wheels. On the inside, there are Recaro seats, a plaque bearing a unique serial number of the car and Yenko-branded doorsills.

The top trim will be called Yenko Stage II. It will look virtually the same, but pack a high-performance engine rated at 1,000 hp (745 kW) and 1,185 Nm (874 lb×ft) of torque.

Special Vehicle Engineering plans to release 25 copies of each trim; prices remain unknown.
