SEAT unveils Vitoria, a futuristic design study

Spanish carmaker SEAT has posted first teaser images of its futuristic SUV concept titled Vitoria.

According to the company, the main features of the car include compact appearance, a spacious interior, an all-electric drivetrain and a SAE Level 5 self-driving system. The latter essentially means that the vehicle is completely autonomous and has no driver seat.

Another groundbreaking technology introduced in the SEAT Vitoria is an access system based on face recognition and fingerprint scanning. To get inside, the owner only has to touch the round scanner on the door – no more misplaced keys or frozen door grips.

Will the SEAT Vitoria ever make it into series? The company doesn’t explicitly say ‘no’, but points out that it won’t happen any sooner than 2030 at any rate.
