Opel reveals the new Vivaro Life

Opel and Vauxhall have jointly held an online presentation dedicated to the next generation of the nine-seat Vivaro Life minibus/RV. The car utilizes the modern EMP2 platform and should celebrate its live premiere in Brussels, Belgium on January 18.

Compared to its predecessor, the new Vivaro Life sports a more modern overall design with a thin radiator grille, narrow headlights, and daytime running lights built straight into the front bumper.

New plastic side panel extensions and fender flares lend the sides of the RV a pleasant, muscular appearance. The rear, however, remains largely unchanged except for 3D taillights and a bulky rear door.

Based on the photo revealed earlier today, the next-gen Opel Vivaro Life will retain the previous driver cab design, complete with the seven-inch multimedia display, occasional metallic accents and a three-spoke steering wheel.

Buyers will be able to select between two lengths of the vehicle, 4,950 mm (16.25 ft) and 5,300 mm (17.4 ft). Both will share the same wheelbase (3,280 mm / 10.75 ft), but the longer version will offer some paid extras, such as a wall outlet, a folding table and leather seats (heated seats in front, rotating ones in the back). You can remove the rear seat row for almost 3,400 liters (120 cu.ft.) of storage space.

The manufacturer stays silent about the engine palette of the upcoming Opel Vivaro Life update. However, the company had earlier made it official that it planned to launch an all-electric version of the RV in 2021.
