The SUV Showdown: Alfa Romeo vs. Porsche vs. Bentley

A really one-of-a-kind drag race just took place between the ex-Nürburgring king Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, and a Bentley Bentayga.

The three SUVs raced against each other on a track exactly half a mile (805 meters) long. The winner blazed past the finish line in a mere 3.8 seconds.

The Alfa Romeo crossover vehicle comes powered by a 2.9-liter V6 capable of 510 horsepower (380 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lbft) of torque. It needs 3.8 seconds to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) and hits its limit at 283 km/h (176 mph).

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo enters the race armed with its stock 4.0-liter TT V8 rated at 550 hp (410 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lbft) of torque. It concludes the standard sprint in 3.9 seconds and tops out at 286 km/h (178 mph).

The Bentley Bentayga ships with a monstrous 6.0 W12 power unit churning out 608 hp (453 kW) along with 900 Nm (664 lbft) of torque. The bulky SUV gets to one hundred in 4.1 seconds and ultimately climbs to 301 km/h (187 mph).

However nice those specs may look on paper, they do not automatically reveal the winner. Watch the video to see who really does reign supreme in the luxury SUV world.
