This Final Fantasy XV-inspired Audi R8 V10 sells for a ludicrous €2,100,000

A Classic Trader ad has recently popped up, offering this barely-customized Audi R8 V10 Plus for the eye-watering sum of €2,140,094. The build is said to have been inspired by the legendary Japanese video game, Final Fantasy XV.

To put things into perspective, a limited-issue Bugatti Veyron Rembrandt & L’Or Blanc sold at around €2,000,000 per copy. But that price tag, while not exactly less exorbitant, was still justified by the production price of the normal Veyron hypercar. Whereas this Audi R8 V10 Plus Star of Lucis Edition is more than ten (!) times as expensive as the sports car it is based upon.

It would be logical to assume that the seller tries to target FFXV fans with this apparent shameless money grab. The description says the vehicle belonged to His Royal Majesty Prince Lucis, hence the ‘Star of Lucis’ moniker. But are there any fans at all capable of shelling out €2.1M on an unofficial bit of merchandise? Let alone capable AND willing…

Returning to the car itself, it appears to wear a noble black wrap alongside a set of intricately designed forged rims. There are silvery floral ornaments decorating the body in a few places. But other than that, the cabin and the tech remain stock.

Frankly, this one has us at a loss for words... What do you think? Do you know anyone who would, in their sane mind, pay the full asking price for this?
