Kahn Design’s newest Range Rover Sport SVR is obscenely expensive

The Range Rover Sport SVR starts from £101,810 on its home market of Great Britain, which amounts to a whopping U.S. $127,577. But as long as you don’t mind paying even more for exclusivity, consider this custom build by Kahn Design.

Called the Project Kahn First Edition Pace Car, the vehicle depicted here will hit your bank account for £129,999 ($162,901). On a curious note, it is not a showroom specimen with zero history, but rather an ever-so-slightly used one with one previous owner and 80 kilometers (50 miles) under its belt.

The tuner relies purely on visual aesthetics to convince you to part with your money – and does it well. The body kit is astonishingly good and comprises new aprons all around, a different radiator grille, a sporty rear diffuser and reshaped exhaust tips, among other things.

Custom wheels? But of course! Every forged rim measures a gorgeous 23 inches across. The one downside is that they don’t come with the kit and have to be ordered separately.

The interior is also far from stock. The seats, armrests, door panels and steering wheel are all wrapped in fine perforated leather, and there are Kahn Design logos everywhere you look.

As far as the tech is concerned, the SUV has air suspension, panoramic glass roof and heated seats in base.

Powering the build is the standard 5.0-liter turbo V8 with 575 hp (429 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The top speed is 280 km/h (174 mph), and the SUV only needs 4.5 seconds to get going at 100 km/h (62 mph) – specs that put some modern sports cars to shame.
