Audi tempts prospective Q4 E-Tron buyers with 25 headlight designs

Audi has just taken car customization into new territory. The German automotive giant will ship its Q4 E-Tron battery SUV with 25 headlight styles to choose from.

Using light-emitting diodes instead of traditional light bulbs unties the hands of headlight designers, enabling them to create all sorts of shapes and light patterns. According to Mark Lichte, Audi’s chief designer, twenty-five headlight layouts wasn’t too hard to come up with.

The Audi Q4 E-Tron is an upcoming all-electric crossover/SUV whose concept version debuted this spring. The AWD off-roader will arrive packing two electric motors jointly rated at 305 hp (227 kW) and a battery sufficient for 450 kilometers (280 miles) of range.
