2020 Subaru BRZ tS announced, will emerge in a series of 300

Japanese car manufacturer Subaru has announced a special edition of its BRZ coupe, designed by its in-house sports subdivision, STI. The new series gets the suffix ‘tS’ and is meant for North America only.

Each of the 300 cars will get exterior tweaks, steering improvements, and strictly manual transmission. There will be a slightly slimmer and lower-set rear wing on the trunk lid, and there will be 18-inch wheels with a matte bronze finish.

The tS version will also feature a V-shaped spacer in the engine bay, Sachs shock absorbers, and stiffer springs. There will be no anti-fog lights on the front bumper.

The cabin of the Subaru BRZ tS will sport a genuine leather/Alcantara trim combo with red accents decorating the doors, the shift stick, the wheel, the seats, and the safety belts.

A two-liter, opposite-cylinder engine rated at 208 hp (155 kW) will send the torque to the rear wheels by means of a six-speed manual gear and a Torsen differential.

The two-door vehicle will cost U.S. $33,400 when it hits retail, which is $900 above the regular BRZ with its automatic transmission.
