Mercedes-Benz GLC gets better ECU, new wheels from VÄTH

German tuner VÄTH Automobiltechnik GmbH has added a Mercedes-Benz GLC 220d (X253) to its portfolio. The modded SUV has more power and sports an exhaust actuator, a stance and 20-inch forged wheels.

The 2.0-liter diesel engine now makes use of the V22CDI tuning chip, which raises its output from the stock 170 hp (127 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque to 205 hp (153 kW) and 470 Nm (347 lb-ft). The company adds a stainless-steel sound actuator to the exhaust line that supports six different sound modes and helps the diesel unit produce a much more impressive sound than usual.

The true highlight of the build comes in the shape of VÄTH V2_GT Limited BLACK forged rims with a combined blue/black finish and chrome-coated hardware. The wheel set looks like a perfect match for the Mercedes-Benz GLC 220d (X253) and lends it a distinct sporty vibe. Heights-adjustable suspension springs contribute their share of sportiness, too.
