Nothing is Impossible: Tuner showcases world’s only BMW M3 CS Touring

Car manufacturers spend tons of money on surveying their customers’ preferences and interests, but often inexplicably fail to follow up on the newly discovered demand. BMW, for one, has repeatedly stated it was not going to offer its M3 as estate/wagon, despite numerous fan pleas. As it turns out, someone finally took the matter in his or her own hands.

The idea behind the project is as simple as it is elegant. A wrecked F80 M3 CS sedan/saloon provides the parts for the standard wagon. The CS is actually even stronger than the M3, packing 460 hp (343 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) instead of the M3’s 431 hp (321 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft).

The resulting body shape appears so fit and well proportioned, one cannot help but wonder how BMW could fail to see the market potential in it. In the upcoming new generation, the 3 Series will have two flagships: the M340i (gasoline, 387 hp / 289 kW) and the M340d (diesel, specs unknown). This is a bit sad, considering that Audi has been offering its RS4 Avant performance wagon for years.
