Novelties
The two companies will be revealing a cheap crossover vehicle sometime this spring, which should offer an alternative to the Toyota Raize and Daihatsu Rocky.
The car is provisionally known as the Perodua D55l and will be styled similarly to the Daihatsu Rocky, which you can see on the photos and the video here. The headlights, the brake lights and the front grille will be different, but the rest will likely stay unchanged.
It is also official that the Perodua D55l will ship with only one engine model, specifically a 1.0-liter turbo mill rated at 98 hp (73 kW). A D-CVT transmission will send the torque to the front wheels. Options will include a panoramic roof, leather trim for the cabin, adaptive cruise control, emergency brake, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
