Mercedes-Benz EQC police EV debuts in Frankfurt

Mercedes has unveiled a dozen of police vehicles at a dedicated event in Frankfurt, Germany, most of them gas- of diesel-powered, but a few experimental.

The lineup notably included a diesel-electric hybrid variant of the E-Class, a hydrogen-powered GLC F‑Cell, and an all-electric EQC.

It should be noted that police services all around the world show increased interest towards environmentally clean vehicles. Thus, the U.S. State of Indiana enlists the help of the Tesla Model 3, while the Police of London has used the BMW i3 for a long time now.

This is the first time we are seeing the Mercedes-Benz EQC as a police car, however. The company says it will soon enter police service, but does not specify where and when.
