Audi A3L leaks in photos ahead of premiere

The new Audi A3 sedan/saloon has already been spotted in the streets, and now, its long-wheelbase ‘L’ version has been photographed in China as well.

It remains uncertain how long the new Audi A3L will be. The standard A3 will likely keep the same wheelbase as its hatchback counterpart shown in the video (2,637 millimeters, or 8.65 feet). In Europe, the A3 will ship with a wide selection of engines, including a 1.0-liter gasoline engine rated at 110 hp (82 kW) and a larger 1.5-liter one with 150 hp (112 kW) at its disposal. The 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel will be available in two specs: 116 hp (87 kW) and 150 hp (112 kW). A hybrid variant will also be offered.

For its part, the U.S. lineup will initially be limited to a single 2.0-liter gasoline turbo mated to a mild-hybrid system for 240 hp (180 kW) total.

The long-wheelbase A3L will originally sell in China only.

Options will include sports suspension, adaptive shock absorbers, a digital 12.3-inch dashboard, and a 10.5-inch infotainment system.
