Opel teases the new Mokka Pure Panel dash screen

Opel has released a sketch outlining the cockpit of the next-gen Mokka crossover SUV. Apparently, the screen will display only the most essential real-time information.

The setup consists of two physical displays seamlessly united into one. Opel promises us an interface that is extremely simple and intuitive to use, and points out that there will be no visual clutter on screen. Only the most vital bits of information will be displayed – such as the remaining driving range of the EV version, for example.

The new Mokka will be based on the CMP architecture and will weigh 120 kilograms (265 pounds) less than the old generation. It will feature enhanced noise proofing and come with a few drivetrain options to choose from: 1.2-liter gasoline, 1.5-liter diesel turbo, and electric. The latter spec comes rated at 136 PS (134 hp, or 100 kW) and 320 kilometers (199 miles) of range.
