Skoda Octavia gains an affordable new turbo option

For a long time now, the latest Skoda Octavia had been available exclusively as the pricey First Edition spec with its 1.5L TSI engine churning out 150 hp (112 kW). This ends now with a more affordable version coming out.

The new 1.0L TSI trim produces 110 hp (82 kW) and packs six-speed manual transmission. It hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in just under 11 seconds from launch.

While the First Edition starts from €33,050, the new base spec drops the price to €26,900.

Standard equipment includes a multimedia system with a 10-inch screen, climate control, LED lighting, and cruise control. Paid extras include parking assist, heated seats, engine launch button, and keyless entry.
