3rd-gen Bestune B70 debuts with Cadillac looks, 1.5 liters of displacement

FAW has unveiled the third generation of its Bestune (a.k.a. Besturn) B70. Unlike the previous models that used the old Mazda6 chassis, the latest sedan benefits from the all-new, proprietary platform called FMA.

The reborn B70 is 4,810 mm (15.78 ft.) long, 1,840 mm (6.04 ft.) wide and 1,455 mm (4.77 ft.) tall. This makes it 10mm longer and 20mm wider, but 11mm less tall than its predecessor.

The design gives off strong Cadillac vibes. The side mirrors are mounted on the doors, and higher trims bring along 19-inch wheels, slide-out handles, digital dash and infotainment system with holographic assistant. No official interior shots have been posted so far, but you may check out a spy pic in our gallery.

The car comes powered by the same drivetrain as the Bestune T77, namely a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 177 hp (132 kW) linked to either manual or dual-clutch auto transmission.

Sales of the Bestune B70 should start in China later this year.
