Jeep to use PSA tech for its first EV

Stellantis, the alliance of FCA and PSA, has announced the first Jeep-branded subcompact electric car that comes based on the PSA technological platform and will be produced in Italy.

The crossover will be even smaller than the Jeep Renegade, which is the most compact vehicle in the current range (peek into our gallery to get a better idea). By all indications, it will be produced based on the same chassis as the Citroen ё-C4, Opel Mokka-e and Peugeot e-2008. The really odd bit is that all three have front-wheel drive, which is quite uncharacteristic for Jeep vehicles.

The car will enter production in the Fiat factory in Melfi, Italy. Whether it will also come to the U.S. market remains unknown.
