Hyundai shows off the tiniest EV ever

The South Korean automaker had a fair share of fun designing its smallest car to date using wooden body panels and a sophisticated electric powertrain.

The child-sized ride follows the design guidelines of the Hyundai 45 Concept initially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The similarities extend as far as the body outlines, the edgy contours and the headlight shapes.

Powering the miniature vehicle are dual DC motors that can accelerate it to 7 km/h (4.3 miles per hour). Only one person fits inside, and the only available seat is located in the middle, mimicking the layout of some racecars.
