Meet the Leap C11, a dual-motor e-SUV slated for Guangzhou show premiere

Leap Motor Company had promised us to reveal its C11 production EV during the Auto China expo on September 26, but ultimately postponed the premiere until the Guangzhou expo in late November.

The off-roader will come powered by dual electric motors jointly rated at 544 PS (536 hp / 400 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. It will need around five seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill and will have around 600 km (404 miles) of driving range.

Compared to its concept version, the production SUV sports a different dashboard, a landscape-oriented multimedia display instead of a portrait-oriented one, and a dedicated display for the front passenger. The air blowers, which used to be subtle and barely visible, are oval-shaped and strongly accentuated in the production version. The digital dash cluster remains there, and the manufacturer says all three touch-enabled displays can be combined into a single large screen.

The model will ship with as many as 22 driving aids and will support over-the-air (OTA) updates.
