Ford E-Transit costs $45,000, ships in late 2021

Ford has revealed the specs and configurations of its nature-friendly Electric Transit van. Customers in Europe and the United States will start receiving their cars in late 2021.

There will be several different trims of the Ford E-Transit varied in length and height, as well as a bare chassis version and a full-metal-body version.

The EV will rely on a single electric motor plugged into a 69-kWh battery and rated at 269 PS (265 hp / 198 kW) and 429 Nm (316 lb-ft) of torque. The driving range is so far only known for the low-roof model and amounts to “slightly over 200 km” (124 miles), according to the rather strict EPA measurement method.

Charging the E-Transit is possible using both AC and DC power sources. The in-built charger lets the car regain 100% within eight hours, but you may use a high-power station for a 0-80% top-up in mere 34 minutes.

Prices in the USA will start as low as $45,000.
