Car Tuning
You can usually tell a performance car from its more mundane ‘standard version’ by the increased number of tailpipes. This means two or four pipes in the vast majority of cases, although the Lexus LFA and some Ferraris go with three. The owner of this Honda Civic seems to have wanted still more.
Based on the pic that’s recently gone viral on Reddit, the intention was to make a normal Civic resemble a Type R. Testimony to this is a rear wing, fake mesh-covered air vents and a rear diffuser. The mud flaps are red for some reason, and the wheels stick out of their wells. Rounding off the impression are the Type R triple exhaust tips.
The big issue with the styling is that the trio doesn’t seem connected to the system at all. Instead, the car retains its original dual tailpipes to the right, resulting in a weird and admittedly quite sloppy overall impression. Five tips, four cylinders!
Watch the video for a short list of good Civic aftermarket mufflers.
