Hennessey rolls out 800-HP Ford F-150 series
Hennessey Performance has unveiled the Venom 800 Supercharged, a series of just 100 Ford F-150 pickup trucks boosted to 816 PS (800 hp / 596 kW) – almost twice the original power.
The donor vehicle is an F-150 Super Crew, which comes equipped with a non-turbo 5.0-liter V8. The upgrade kit by Hennessey is turbocharger-based and also includes a stainless-steel exhaust system, a fuel pump and some other performance components. The power rating cited above is attainable as long as you pour in E85 instead of regular gasoline. The bulky truck zaps from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in mere 3.6 seconds and does not hit its speed ceiling until 187 km/h (116 mph).
Further noteworthy improvements include Brembo brakes, 20-inch wheels, a new front bumper with LED DRLs, and a different radiator grille.
Prices start from U.S. $149,500.
