BMW M3 Touring shows up in a short film

BMW M has shared a two-minute YouTube video centered on the fictional “M Town” inhabited by performance car enthusiasts. The ad contains plenty of M Performance vehicles, including a sneaky next-gen M3 cameo.

At 1:20, BMW M CEO Markus Flasch himself makes an appearance, reading a newspaper sitting on the rear end of his M3 Touring. There are also other surprise roles, such as the M3 Truck Concept from ten years ago, which is shown carrying a BMW M charging station in its bed.

Overall, the message behind the video is clear: the M department will design performance-focus versions of all cars, including hybrids like the X8 and pure EVs. The i4 M is scheduled to arrive in 2021, and the M3 Touring a year or two after that.
