Aston Martin issues whiskey-themed DBX Bowmore Edition

Aston Martin has unveiled the DBX Bowmore Edition dedicated to the Scottish single-malt whiskey of the same name.

The crossover SUV sports a rare Bowmore Blue paintjob that Q by Aston Martin revived exclusively for this collaboration with the Scotland-based distillery. Even so, customers can alternatively choose Xenon Grey. Copper-hued accents, darkened badges and smoky wheels are standard in both versions, while black calipers are optional.

The interior can be Obsidian Monotone or Copper Tan Metallic/Obsidian, and both involve plenty of tweed upholstery. The so-called Bowmore Tweed originates from Islay Woollen Mill, one of Scotland’s oldest factories of its kind established in 1883. Copper accents can be seen inside the cabin as well.

Pre-order books are already open, the production run amounts to 18 units, and the first shipments will be made in late 2021. Buyers will need to travel to Edinburgh to participate in a ceremony and get their car keys. They will then embark on a special tour.

This is not the first time Aston Martin and Bowmore unite efforts: four month ago, the duo stylized the DB5 model in a similar vein (watch the video).
