Marvel at this delightfully weird BMW M2 Hatchback with ca. 700 HP

Mr. Muhammet, from Germany, has long dreamt of a practical-yet-sporty BMW car that he would drive on a daily basis. His choice ultimately fell on this 2015 BMW M135i xDrive, which he turned into something altogether different and exciting.

For starters, he stylized the entire front fascia after the M2 Coupe while keeping the practical rear end with lots of trunk space intact (he only replaced the rear bumper with his own design). The OEM hood made way for a carbon-fiber aftermarket cover complete with air vents. KW Variant 3 coilovers made their way into the suspension, and BMW M4 supplied the rear axle and the carbon0ceramic brakes. 19-inch BMW M Doublespoke M437 wheels filled out their respective wells nicely due to lowered ride height.

The most impressive part of the project is still the drivetrain, which now incorporates the twin-turbocharged V8 mill of the X6 M and its respective transmission. By adding an ECU tune and replacing the air intake system, the man pushed the system well beyond its original 550+ hp – we suspect 700 hp (522 kilowatts) or thereabouts. Given the curb weight of mere 1,400 kilos (under 3,100 lbs), the hatchback should accelerate like a high-end sports car. And to think it is still road-legal!

The one topic Mr. Muhammet never went into detail about was the pricing.
