Changan UNI-K hits dealerships in China

Changan showed us its UNI-K crossover at the Guangzhou Motor Show last month, and this week, multiple dealerships have reported receiving the first cars.

Prices and the launch date remain to be announced. The SUV is 4,865 mm long with 2,890 mm of wheelbase and has smallish lights all around that contrast with a bulky radiator grille. The front bumper has Y-shaped LED inserts, and the air intakes are also pretty modest-sized. The cabin houses a digital dash, a couple cup holders of a complex polygonal shape, and as few hardware controls as possible.

Powering the ride is a 2.0-liter turbo engine rated at 233 PS (230 hp / 171 kW) that goes along with an eight-speed A/T. All-wheel drive is available at a premium.

The company claims the SUV will boast numerous premium options that will make it akin to the BMW X3. Having said that, the model’s direct rivals are compact crossover SUVs, like the Mazda CX-5.
