Alfa Romeo to launch Tonale SUV in November

The final production version of the Alfa Romeo Tonale will hit the spotlight in September 2021, and sales in Europe will start just two months after that, the automaker reports.

Apparently, Alfa Romeo failed to generate enough profits from selling its Giulia and Stelvio models, especially considering that FCA had invested a whopping $1,000,000,000 USD into developing the innovative Giorgio platform. Launching the compact-sized Tonale SUV should finally enable it to get some return on that investment.

The Launch Edition will be the first to arrive packing the same hybrid powertrain as the Jeep Renegade. As for the high-end Quadrifoglio spec, this one won’t be coming at all due to a pessimistic outlook the company takes on its sales numbers.
