Rumor: Will Toyota Land Cruiser 300 be naturally aspirated?

The much-anticipated Toyota Land Cruiser 300 appears closer to reveal than ever: along with an alleged presentation slide partially revealing the exterior, Japanese media claim they have obtained some powertrain specs.

Rumors used to circulate that the next-gen Land Cruiser would ditch its old 4.6-liter gasoline V8, trading it for a 3.5-liter turbo V6 and a 3.3-liter turbo diesel. It is now reported that a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 is in the plans. No further specifics are provided.

The rumored LC 300 model should become available via pre-orders in March this year, sources say. It will be approximately 5,115 mm (16.78 feet) long with 2,900 mm (9.51 ft.) of wheelbase.
