Maserati Levante Hybrid premieres with Ghibli powertrain

Maserati has revealed a part-electric version of its Levante SUV at the ongoing Shanghai trade fair. The new powertrain is identical to that of the Ghibli Hybrid that came out in the summer of 2020.

A two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder receives assistance from an electric supercharger and a starter-generator. Both source their power from a 48V battery. The crossover has four-wheel drive by default thanks to a limited-slip differential in the back.

The nominal output of 330 PS (325 hp / 243 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque enables a sprint from nothing to 100 km/h (62 mph) in six seconds flat. The top speed lies at 240 km/h (149 miles per hour).

Except for occasional blue accents, the Levante Hybrid looks identical to its gas-guzzling counterpart on the outside.
